Self-Service Machine Operating Cost Calculator
Calculate monthly operating surplus, break-even volume and simple investment recovery using your own equipment and operating cost inputs.
Calculate your own operating scenario
Use one currency and one consistent sale or session unit. Enter every field, including 0 where a cost is actually zero. Estimates stay in this page and are not submitted or saved.
Define one consistent scenario
Choose a currency and a sale or service-session unit before entering figures. All amounts use that currency; this tool does not obtain exchange rates or convert values. Enter your own documented inputs and use an explicit zero only when an item is actually zero. Blank fields are not treated as free equipment, free labour or free consumables.
Include the full cost boundary
Initial investment should include the acquisition and startup costs you want to recover, such as the agreed equipment, delivery, site work and commissioning. Variable costs should describe one sale or session. Fixed monthly costs should include the recurring items in your scope. Decide where to include labour, utilities, payment charges, software, maintenance and other relevant costs without counting an item twice.
Read the arithmetic
Monthly revenue equals monthly units multiplied by selling price. Operating surplus equals revenue less variable costs and fixed monthly costs. Simple recovery divides initial investment by a positive monthly surplus. With a zero or negative surplus, the model does not show future investment recovery. Operating break-even volume divides fixed costs by a positive per-unit contribution and rounds up to a whole unit.
Keep the limits visible
The model holds the entered month constant and does not forecast customer demand, equipment availability or cost changes. Financing, depreciation, resale value and tax timing are outside this simple calculation. Missing cost items remain missing from the result. A shorter calculated recovery period is not evidence that the assumptions will occur. Compare alternative inputs and retain their sources when reviewing a project.
Use the result to identify questions
The calculator runs in your browser. It does not submit an enquiry, send figures to WhatsApp or save your scenario for later visits. Changing an input removes the previous result until you calculate again. Discuss the equipment category and unclear quotation items through the WhatsApp contact link if you need to define the supply boundary; no machine price or guaranteed return is implied by this tool.
