Packaging, Freight & Delivery Planning

Plan equipment packing, freight, receiving and delivery responsibilities using final shipment details and the proposed destination scope.

Use the final packing information

Request packing dimensions, gross weight, number of packages and handling information for the equipment configuration that will actually ship. Identify accessories or consumables packed separately and keep the packing record connected to the order scope.

Do not calculate a final transport arrangement from a photograph or another model's cabinet dimensions. Changes to options, stands or packaging can affect the shipping inputs and should be reflected in the revised records.

Clarify the delivery boundary

State the destination and the delivery responsibilities you want quoted. Ask the proposal to identify its trade terms, included transport stages, documentation and exclusions. Confirm which party handles the local stages and access to the receiving site.

A freight estimate is not evidence that every destination service, clearance requirement or site delivery task is included. Compare quotations using the same packing information and clearly stated boundaries.

Plan receiving and exception records

Identify who will receive the shipment and compare the delivered packages with the packing list. Agree the evidence required for visible damage, shortages or other exceptions and the channel for reporting them.

Keep the equipment identity, package condition and relevant records together. Receiving equipment is distinct from completing installation or accepting all operating requirements; the project should state which checks take place at each stage.

Separate logistics from installation and support

List positioning, site connections, commissioning, local labour and ongoing support separately from transport. Describe access restrictions and any equipment needed to receive or move the shipment without assuming these are included in a shipping price.

Provide the country, destination type, quantity and known site constraints in the enquiry. Final packing, transport scope and commercial terms require confirmation for the proposed equipment; no universal delivered price is established here.
